Sesame Marinated Tofu
Sesame Marinated Tofu
Ingredients
- 16 ounces extra-firm tofu
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger or ½ tsp of ground ginger
- 1 TBSP of Sriracha (omit or sub any sweet chili sauce)
Instructions
- Press the tofu: Place on a flat surface, such as a plate lined with paper towels or a clean dish towel. Wrap tofu with the towels, then place something heavy on top like a cast iron skillet or a large book. Let sit for 15 - 20 minutes while making the marinade.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
- Marinate the tofu. You can chop the tofu into squares before pouring marinade over it, if you prefer.
- Leave for at least 1 hour. The longer it sits, the more flavor the tofu absorbs.
- Cook the tofu. In a large skillet, sauté the tofu until it is golden brown on each side. Optional: Bake the tofu in crumbles if you would like it more crispy
