December Taste Test
Butternut Squash does NOT contain Nuts!
That’s what worried one elementary student this week during the EATS Taste Test where we enticed kids to try roasted Butternut Squash that was perfectly cooked by the esteemed The Farm Restaurant at Canyons Resort. The organically-grown squash came from Parker Produce, a 140 year old farm in northern Utah.
Educating students about food expands their minds as well as their palates. “Studies suggest that children have to taste a new food 15 to 20 times before they can get over their initial resistance and start liking it.” So don’t give up!
